LIVE music, vibrant theatre and spellbinding puppetry will liven up the dark months ahead as part of LiveLincs’ sizzling new Autumn season.
The spectacular line up will see some of the hottest acts in the country touring village halls and community centres in North Lincolnshire.
First up is an absolute delight for all the family – Lempen Puppets’ production of ‘Little Frankenstein’.
The show tells the tale of famous puppeteer Frank Stein who, fed up with badly made puppets, decides to make his own….. with life changing results!
Lempen have been touring their own brand of stories told with puppets since 1987. Imaginative, lyrical, spellbinding and surprising, their performance promises to tickle the imagination of everyone from the age of five to 105!
The production will tour Crowle, Goxhill, Kirton-in-Lindsey, Winterton, Worlaby and Brigg, from Thursday Oct 6 onward. For more information visit www.lempen.co.uk.
A high energy dance event will whirl its way to Barton-on Humber on October 8 with Panta Rei Danseteater’s production of ‘I Wish Her Well’.
Described as ‘an intricate performance combining storytelling and dance,’ the production will focus on the lives of a group of women examining themes of universal appeal and has already toured Norway, Sweden and Tanzania, culminating in a special showing at CODA Oslo International Dance Festival’s 10th anniversary celebration. Talented musicians Red Moon Road visit North Lincolnshire all the way from Canada where they will raise the roof with performances at Goxhill and Epworth. The incredibly lively folk musicians will have you tapping your toes all the way through the winter with some hauntingly good folk songs. One of the most dynamic organisations of its kind, Balbir Singh Dance Company is set to wow crowds in Wroot with a double bill show ; Solos and Duets and Champion of the Flatlands. An intoxicating potion of science and magic will have audiences transfixed in Wroot Village Hall on Saturday November 19. Oliver Meech meddles with forces most of us barely understand in a comedy magic show which caters for the QI generation. No LiveLincs programme would be complete without some thought-provoking theatre. Townsend Productions present ‘Road to Jarama’ in Barton-on-Humber, Friday, Nov 25. Commissioned by the International Brigades Memorial Trust, the play’s tour coincides with the 80th anniversary of the creation of the military unit in October 1936 and the Battle of Jarama in 1937.
