Diyet – In Concert

May 9, 2019 @ 7:30 PM

We love to surprise you here at Live Lincs and expose you to all sorts of unique and fresh experiences. So now for something that’s raw, beautiful and intensely alive! If you love music with a Southern Tutchone/ Americana twang then this is the band for you. Part country, part vibey, part folk and just a little bit rootsy – what more could you ask for?

Diyet is an indigenous singer/songwriter who sings in Southern Tutchone (her native language) and English. Her songs are about the people and landscape of her northern Yukon home and experience. Diyet was born in a tent and raised in a cabin on the shores of a glacial lake in the Kluane region of Canada’s Yukon Territory.

Her music is an interpretation of a northern reality: hard, raw and will break you if it can but at the same time, always gentle, strange and intensely alive. The Love Solders are husband Robert van Lieshout on guitar and  Bob Hamilton. Both are hat wear’n, facial hair’n, multi instrumentalists who are more than a backing band but true collaborators that build the canvas for Diyet’s words and melodies.

This gig is unmissable! Audience: all ages youth to adult
