opening new doors to the arts

Get the shoulder pads out folks! We are taking you on a trip back to the eighties – the era of permed mullets, electric blue mascara and Dallas on telly! We know, we can’t wait for this show either…so who you gonna call?

Little Earthquake Theatre; I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost

80’s fans – prepare to get your shoulder pads out and mullet that hair!

For we will be taking you right back in time with Little Earthquake Theatre in their latest show; I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost (can’t you just hear that theme tune?).

This wonderfully nostalgic show takes a comic investigation into an 80’s childhood haunting where nothing is quite what it seems. It’s 1986. Little Gareth is eight years old. Prince Andrew and Fergie get married in the summer. Dirty Den serves Angie divorce papers on Christmas Day. And Gareth is sharing his bedroom with a KitKatpinching ghost.”

Inspired by his favourite film, little Gareth became a self-appointed Ghostbuster, launching an investigation into a playful poltergeist. Now, three decades later, with the help of home videos, retro toys and interviews with his nearest and dearest, grown-up Gareth is determined to uncover what was really going on inside his very own haunted house.

Join him in a nostalgic trip back to the 80s and a comic exploration of a childhood haunting where nothing is quite what it seems — all wrapped up in some formidable fashions, stuffed with sweet treats and set to a cheese-tastic chart-topping soundtrack.
