The Contention starts here! After their ground-breaking success at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2012 and a World Tour in 2013, Two Gents Productions are back touring the UK in 2014 … and this time they mean business. Two Gents is launching The Complete Shakespeare Project – performing and touring all of Shakespeare’s Plays in Chronological Order. After Two Gentlemen of Verona, they now tackle The Taming of the Shrew.

With only two actors on a bare stage Two Gents bring the plays to venues small and large across the UK.
In THE TAMING OF THE SHREW they tackle the classic War of the Sexes Is Petrucchio’s ‘taming’ of Kate an act of love, of violent submission, or (perhaps more controversially) both? In their distinct cross cultural style – fusing Shakespeare’s text with the actors’ experience of migration, displacement and cultural otherness – Two Gents explore both plays in repertory this autumn.
