As the dark nights start to roll in, we begin our #funtogether campaign to help combat isolation and loneliness in rural areas.
November has been identified as one of the loneliest months of the year as people prepare for the festive season, while trying to cope with cold weather and long, dark nights.
In order to help address this, we’ve organised a feast of fun events throughout North Lincolnshire (Live Lincs) and East Yorkshire (ArtERY Live) in small village halls and venues.
We think you’ll agree that these nights out help foster a sense of community and togetherness and are an absolute joy to attend.
It’s not just our audiences who feel a sense of community. Below, our first act, The Hut People, tell us what rural touring means to them;
“We do have the pleasure of meeting many people while we gig around the country. The beauty of rural touring is that you really make contact with the local community.
“Some we’ve met have been very elderly and it’s been their first time out to meet others and connect to break any isolation they may feel. Once they come they always say they’ll be back.”
Help us spread some joy in our #funtogether #ruralwellbeing campaign by telling everyone you know about our events. You can catch the Hut People at the following venues;
If you need to get in touch with us to find out about anything that we do, please use the contact form and we'll get back in touch with you as soon as possible
