One of the best-loved fairy tales of all time has been magically transformed into a breathtaking display of dance.

Uchenna Dance will perform Hansel and Gretel at Barton Assembly Rooms this spring.

The production weaves distinctive dance styles of House, Waacking, Vogue, African and Contemporary dance, and promises to deliver a magical and relatable retelling of children’s favourite.

Told from the children’s perspective, our two young heroes brave a big journey and find themselves lost in the city, overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and smells. Separated from their kind guardian, the clever duo must use their smarts and determination to outwit the adults and find a way for their little modern family to stay in a show where kids are number one!
