SPRING MENU 2024

Find out about the brilliant artists, dancers, musicians, comedians and more who will be touring across East Riding this spring!

The full lineup-

Will Finn & Rosie Calvert

Will Finn and Rosie Calvert are an award-winning husband-and-wife duo who came together through their love of music. First coming to prominence with their acapella quartet The Teacups, the pair perform traditional and contemporary folk music with variety and flair! Their set includes intricate harmonies, the rousing instrumentation of piano, steel pan, and ukulele, and joyful, warm stage presence.

George Egg

George cooks food without a kitchen. During an evening of live cooking with jokes, anecdotes and general bonhomie he prepares three dishes of real and delicious food using a variety of non-culinary appliances from hotel room equipment, power tools, and other unexpected items. At the end of the show, if they want to, the audience get to taste the food too. A true multisensory comical experience with a bit of education and a heap of inspiration thrown in too.

“A culinary Bill Bailey, with chopping boards instead of keyboards. It is a multi-sensory delight to spend an hour with him”

Coalesce Dance

Pants! is a fun and sensitive exploration of self-love, acceptance and mental health. This work, created for young people 16-21, is a coming of age story where we discover who we are, and who we want to be. Join us in our weird and wonderful wardrobe world, as we search through this closet of cluttered memories. With research gathered from young people in Burnley, Trafford, Blackpool and Blackburn, Coalesce have embedded these stories and experiences into this new and exciting work for Library and Community Spaces.

Mambo Jambo

Acoustic Roots duo, Mambo Jambo, might just be the biggest acoustic duo you’ll ever see. A truly unique two-piece with their joyous mash-up of sounds from roots, folk, world, jazz, plus their own compositions. With Frankie on sax, vocals, clarinet, flute, guitar and spoons and other percussion, and Pete on guitar, vocal, ukulele, tres, banjo, accordion and suitcase!

The sheer enthusiasm & joy of their music combine to create an act that will undoubtedly go down a storm wherever they play.

Indigo Moon

Indigo Moon Theatre presents “Seedheart”. Meet Grey. Our journey begins as Grey finds themself trapped inside a jar. They try to remember how they got there and how they could be free. This show tells the important tale of what happened to the Earth when humans came along and how we can restore our once green planet, with interactive laboratory chaos along the way! Watch as our story unfolds (literally) from a single suitcase and follow Grey’s journey to a better future with magical pop-ups, puppetry and shadows.

James & Mayor

James and Mayor are a witty and captivating mix of folk, blues, swing and classical showstoppers, spiced with a unique brand of off-beat humour. Virtuoso mandolin, elegant vocals, guitar and fiddle wizardry, and a stage show that ranges from witty to hilarious. Expect anything from a Vivaldi concerto, traditional folk, jazz standards, Celtic, ragtime, blues, a deadly accurate tribute to Jake Thackray and, of course, that song about a parrot! Sheer Musical Brilliance.

Graffiti Classics

Graffiti Classics are 16 strings, 8 dancing feet and 4 voices with 1 aim: to make classical music wickedly funny and fantastically exhilarating for everyone, young and old. Graffiti Classics burst the elitist boundaries of the traditional string quartet with their hilarious all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy show. It’s a classical concert, a gypsy-folk romp, an opera, a stand-up comedy set and a brilliant dance show all rolled into one! From Beethoven to Bluegrass, Baroque to Pop, Mozart or Offenbach to Elvis, Strauss to Saturday Night Fever

Wright & Grainger

A story about the son of the god of the sun, HELIOS transplants the Ancient Greek tale into a modern-day myth wound round the winding roads of rural England and into the everyday living of a towering city. A story about life, and about the invisible monuments we build to it. An intimate tale made to be told in smaller rooms, HELIOS is a collective experience which invites the audience to be part of the story. Told by a single storyteller, with a cinematic score, it’s a story about growing up, about the pride of young boys, and how we define our worlds.
